Privacy Policy
Short, because there is not much to say. This site runs no analytics and no advertising, and I do not do anything with your data beyond replying to you.
What this site collects
Almost nothing. There is no analytics package, no advertising pixel, no session recording and no heatmap tool on this site. I verified that before writing this page rather than assuming it.
If you email me, I keep your message and address so I can reply and so I have a record of the conversation. That is it — no CRM, no automated sequence, no list you were added to without asking.
Server logs. My host records standard technical data on each request: IP address, browser user agent, and the page requested. These exist for security and troubleshooting, are handled by the host, and are not used to build a profile of you.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The caching layer may set a functional cookie so pages are served correctly, and WordPress sets a session cookie for me when I am signed in to administer the site. There is no cross-site tracking here.
What I do not do
I do not sell, rent or share your personal data. I do not run advertising on this site. I do not add people to mailing lists because they emailed me. If that ever changes, this page changes first — see the last section.
How long I keep things
Email correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful for the working relationship, and deleted on request. Server logs follow the host’s standard retention, typically a matter of weeks.
Who else is involved
The site is hosted by Hostinger, which processes server logs on my behalf. Email is handled by my email provider. Hostinger Reach is installed on this site and would handle any contact form or newsletter submissions if I enable them. No other third party receives your personal data.
Your rights
You can ask what personal data I hold about you, request a copy, ask for it to be corrected, or ask me to delete it. If you are in the UK or EU you hold these rights under the GDPR; in California, comparable rights under the CCPA. Email me and I will action it, normally well within 30 days. There is no form to fill in and no ticket number.

This site links out to LinkedIn and to projects I run, including mudtires.org. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s site under someone else’s privacy policy — including LinkedIn’s, which is considerably longer than this one.
Changes to this policy
If I add analytics, advertising, a contact form or a newsletter, I will update this page and change the date above before those systems go live, not after. That is the whole commitment.
